Freedom

Renée Vaelen

She lives with her family in a rural area – surrounded by quiet paths, lush greenery, and familiar places. She cherishes both social interaction and solitude, drawing inspiration from diverse countries and cultures – from the vastness of the North to the warmer regions of the South. Her writing touches on social and political themes, never explicitly stating them – they remain palpable between the lines. When she's not writing, she dedicates herself to creative projects and finds inspiration in the small, quiet moments of everyday life.

My truth - your lie

Marvi lives in the shadow of himself – quiet and inconspicuous, trapped between dreams and doubts in his own life.

Only in his sketches and secret thoughts does another world exist, one in which he believes he is seen.

When he meets Marek – a charismatic dancer who seems to effortlessly express what Marvi can't put into words – everything begins to unravel. An unequal power struggle develops between them, which slowly escalates.

A fleeting moment becomes something that burns itself deep into his memory; driven by a longing he cannot comprehend, Marvi increasingly loses his footing.

Caught between the life that holds him captive and the one that calls to him, he ultimately faces the most important decision of his life: What price is realistic to pay in order to survive?
