The young author from Baden-Württemberg was born in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2005 and discovered his passion for fantastical worlds at an early age. Even as a child, he was drawn to anything that contained magic, myths, and secrets—stories that were bigger than life itself. This love of fantasy became his creative driving force and continues to shape his work today.

By a dying star, Shannon tells the legend of Rika, who grew up in poverty in the island kingdom of Eldos and suffered a devastating tragedy at a young age. The death of her father and the stories of the ancient gods he always told haunt Rika. Together with her childhood friend Santosh, she wants to rebel against the ruling system, forging new friendships but also facing dangerous adversaries.
Will Rika finally manage to lead a peaceful life, or does Shannon have bigger plans for her?

What creates reality?

Since my early youth I have loved science fiction and fantasy, the Perry Rhodan series and Marion Zimmer Bradley.
Author Bright Hawk has achieved an excellent success with his debut book. The story unfolds from two perspectives that couldn't be more different: the goddess Shannon and the wild Rika, who only meet in the showdown. Inspired by Japanese anime and manga, the legend takes place on the planet Eldos, whose strangeness pleasantly remains in the background, only coming to the fore in existential scenes.
The unexpected twists and turns repeatedly raise the question: What is real? In the final chapter, the reader is asked to consider what creates their own reality.
I really enjoyed the book and I'm looking forward to his next one.
