Anne Naumann

She comes from Saarland and now lives in Luxembourg. After many years in dermatology, she decided to follow her heart's desire and write.

Books were her refuge from an early age – now they have become her way of life.
She finds inspiration on her travels around the world: Africa, the Caribbean, the South Pacific, Asia, America, and of course, Europe. All these impressions flow into her poetic stories, which tell of love, longing, new beginnings, and the quiet search for one's own path.

Italy was just the beginning

One fall. One moment. And nothing is ever the same again.

When Lena wakes up on a yacht, her life exists only in the present. No memories. No past. Only this strange feeling inside her – and a man who claims to love her. Leonardo.

He knows her habits, her words, her supposed dreams. He speaks of a future together. Of an engagement. But the more Lena listens to him, the stronger something grows inside her that cannot be calmed. A quiet unease. An inner resistance. The suspicion that their story was different.

While somewhere people risk everything to find her, Lena is drawn deeper and deeper into a world that feels like reality – yet is riddled with control and secrets. Because trust can be deceiving. And memories can be dangerous.

In the sweltering heat of Italy, a race against time begins – against oblivion and against a man who knows more about her than he will ever reveal. Whom can she trust? And will she realize who she truly is in time?

An emotional, suspenseful novel about love, identity, and the courage not to lose oneself.

  • These short stories are exactly what you need for the dark time of year. This uplifting read has found its way to me.
The stories are about love and finding the right partner, about conflicting feelings like the longing for security and the desire for freedom. For me, these are the essential feelings in any relationship!

I especially loved the stories where the author whisked me away to foreign countries and new places. Although I know Venice and Paris, I liked the idea of finding my sweetheart there and therefore staying in that place. That takes courage.
The idea of combining wanderlust with home is inspiring.

Thank you very much for the review copy.

A definite buy recommendation! 5 stars

  • Anne Naumann's short stories have deeply moved me. They manage to bring me completely into the here and now – into a space beyond time, where I rediscover my own truth. That's precisely what I love about her stories: this special way of using language to give voice to something inner.
The diversity with which she implements her ideas, and the creative, almost magical storytelling style, are something very special to me.
If I could give more than five stars, I would!

Stories like these are a comfort during the dark winter months. Words that offer warmth, bridging the gap between longing for closeness and the desire for freedom. I especially loved the journeys; even Venice or Paris felt new when love awaited me there. Wanderlust and home united in a single thought—that touched me deeply.
Thank you for these enchanting stories.
