“We are time’s subjects, and time bids are gone.”
William Shakespeare
What does Stonehenge, as a stone circle, have to do with Shakespeare, and what does the famous "Cromlech" have to do with Shakespeare?
Far more than we think!
For the story and odyssey that Ioan experiences at the end of the twentieth century is merely the latest in a long line of predecessors. Their list is extensive and, as still unproven conjectures, the subject of research by the secret society "Order of the Dolphins," led by the renowned astrophysicist Professor MacKinnon. It is precisely during his last expedition, which aims to uncover the secret of Stonehenge, that his assistant's son, John Sterling, is kidnapped in 1979. This is similar to what happened before him to a poacher named William at the end of the 16th century, who later, as Shakespeare, changed the world of drama. And so too did Pericles in Athens two thousand years before him, Siddhartha in India, a certain Yehoshua from Galilee at the turn of the millennium, or later…
Like his predecessors (whom the reader encounters in the book), young John reappears on Earth, his home planet. This time, however, he appears for the first time as an ambassador of the extraterrestrial power he calls ANT-A-GORA. They have entrusted him with a mission: to present Earth with an offer, the "332." But what happens in 1999, at the end of the millennium, initially in Arizona? He is mostly met with disbelief and hostility. His journey, supported and accompanied by only a few, takes him across the continent to Washington, D.C., where he intends to speak with the president. Because he must speak with him…
Does he react to the stranger with the same hostility as his security services, who warn of the greatest danger?
“The past, like the future, is indefinite and exists only as a spectrum of possibilities.”
Stephen Hawking
The “spectrum of possibilities” that arises from a mixture of time and space is vast and is vividly illustrated in Volume 2.
After his mission, IOAN is permitted and expected to return to wherever he was sent from in another universe. Beforehand, he meets the founder of the Order, Professor MacKinnon. MacKinnon is the first, and for a long time the only, person to understand the connection between his mysterious abduction as John and the appearance of an IOAN. Despite CIA surveillance, he works towards a meeting between John and his Earth mother, and afterwards with him at the "sacred site of the Scots."
There, and at another historical site, Loch Shiel, events unfold rapidly. For Ioan is not the only one sent on this mission. His rival challenges him to an incredible duel spanning different eras and unexpected players. The true "spectrum of possibilities from space and time" unfolds. Another attack on Ioan and an assassination attempt on the US president, orchestrated by his own navy, are thwarted at the last second; Scottish troops fight against British forces, as they did centuries before, amidst modern-day helicopters.
The race is on: Which of the visitors will be allowed to leave the hostile planet Earth and be brought home? The duel for the winner's right unfolds dramatically and ends unexpectedly.

Years ago, we celebrated a birthday on a nearby mountain. As a friend of the "genius loci," it stemmed from the motif of Confucius, who has the master say in the second book of the Analects: "At fifty, I understood the law of heaven."
Since then, I've been accompanied by the hope of applying this law judiciously. It prevents me from having to respond to questions about my career path with a list of prestigious names for which I worked in many places. Tasks that I later encountered in small businesses and innovative projects. Traces of some of the solutions can still be found.
Perhaps Confucius's master would have explained that the law of heaven gives us life's themes. For these often reveal themselves in unexpected, unforgettable moments; at crossroads, we meet remarkable individuals. Some point us down unforeseen paths. Thus, friends, and thus I too, move with curiosity between the spheres of economics, science, and art. Full of joy in their light, yet also aware of their shadows.
When I'm not traveling with my characters, I live and write in the heart of Europe. We live in the Taunus region, near Frankfurt and close to the forest. The stories I create follow a hiking trail that runs along the church steeple at eye level with the weathervane, and they mature along the way. That's quality of life! And for me, that includes the privilege of telling stories. So that many may retain an unclouded view of the will of heaven. And so that the wisdom of the distant master may be fulfilled.
I look forward to every conversation as well as every
